These drafts may be used by any lawmakers to abolish Daylight Saving Time and restore permanent Standard Time, as is endorsed by nonprofits, researchers, and community leaders as the best way to end clock change, for health, safety, education, economy, environment, and civil liberty. Arizona, Hawaii, all five populated US territories, Mexico, and most nations have made this change.

States can ditch DST now; it’s federally pre-approved by the Uniform Time Act. Effective dates can be contingent on neighboring states passing equivalent law, to ensure regional coordination.
